I have learned a lot of new skills while working with Diigo. In the previous class, we learned how to bookmark websites with Diigo that we deem useful in some way or another for oneself or fellow colleagues or groups. We also learned how to annotate a website using tools like highlighting and sticky notes. Most recently, we learned a new feature of Diigo called “Topics” which is when someone can start a topic, almost like a discussion question, and post it to a group where people can then provide their feedback on the topic. Using Diigo can be helpful in so many ways when it comes to collaborating with team members and even students! With an account, you can create specific public groups which then allows others to join. This can be a great way to start class discussions and also a great way to interact with fellow teachers and receive their input on certain topics. Another cool thing about Diigo is that not everything has to be public. You can make anything private, which can come in

My experience with Twitter so far has been good! I am no longer having troubles navigating through Twitter and I now know how to tweet with no issues. While using Twitter, I’ve learned  that it is a great tool to communicate with others and keep up-to-date with various events happening not only in the education world but also in every other community such as political issues, weather updates, pop culture, etc. All of these things are the exact benefits of Twitter! Twitter can be used for many useful resources and is a great place for anyone to share their thoughts, experiences, and useful information for all to see. Personally, it has been helpful for me to learn new things in the education world whenever I check Twitter, which is beneficial to me as I approach becoming a teacher. As of lately, I have not experienced any issues. As I said before, I just recently got the hang of things and now everything is going smoothly! The Web Design assignment was so much fun! This was defi

I think creating a page as a teacher on a school website is a great way to communicate all kinds of information in regards to the subject being taught, the lesson plans, announcements, and covered material throughout the class during the school year. I explored a few different class pages from various schools and they all seem to contain similar information. Some include a class newsletter, information about the teacher, homework schedules, and much more! The one that I found with the most information was The Wesley School located in North Hollywood, California. On the school website academic page there were links to each grade levels class page. I looked through the 1st grade class page and thought it was well organized and contained a lot of useful information for the students and parents. There was a home page with all four of the first grade teachers at that school that included a short blog/bio summarizing the year. The page also included links to teacher schedules, curriculum ov

I think Diigo is a very cool tool for not only teachers but for anyone looking for helpful software, websites, and reviews. I personally think that Diigo was fairly easy to set up and it is even easier to bookmark websites onto Diigo. Being able to be apart of a group is another fun and helpful way to navigate through Diigo with common interests. I definitely will use this tool and join more groups as I become a teacher. I am excited to join groups and see what they have to offer in relation to my specific field of teaching in the future.     One of the Web 2.0 tools that are available for teachers to use are blogs. As a class, we have taken up blogging for this course. I personally love it! I like that you can write a blog post about anything and make it available for anyone to see. Blogger is so well organized and the site is easy to navigate. I have learned that blogging is an easy way to share personal experiences, information, or even useful websites for others who are interes
